Welcome to My Story... On the Road to the 2012 London Summer Games with USA's Matt Long
Welcome to TriathLong.com. My name is Matt Long and I am a professional triathlete.
The story of TriathLong.com began in 2007. After a fruitful academic and athletic experience (swimming and cross-country) at Upper Arlington High School just outside of Columbus, Ohio, I moved on to Vanderbilt University in Nashville to study anthropology and run cross-country.
My triathlon career really began during the half-way point of my sophomore year at Vanderbilt. I was going through immense changes in many aspects of my life and decided that I should stop postponing my dream of racing as a triathlete. Not only did I enjoy the multi-sport racing style, I also performed to a level that I had yet to achieve. I turned pro in August of 2008 and I graduated from Vanderbilt in 2010 as an Academic All-American with four varsity letters.
Today, I am training to participate in the 2012 Olympics in London. I am extremely excited to have this opportunity and look forward to sharing it with you through TriathLong.com!
I am very honored you are here to follow my story. I am looking forward to keeping you updated on my progress toward the London Games. Please feel free to contact me
